5 Ways to Have the Best CorePower Live Class
If you’re not near a CorePower studio, not be ready to go back into the studio just yet, or you just want to try something new, CorePower Live is one of our digital class options, to get you flowing on your mat – from home.
With CorePower Live, we can all flow together - even when apart. We’re streaming yoga and sculpt classes live, straight to your home, seven days a week! You will move, sweat and breathe together with your CorePower Yoga community, in real time, led by experienced CorePower teachers from across the country. We’ve put together a few tips to help you get the most out of your CorePower Live experience!
Reserve your spot. Find your class on the schedule and book your spot. On CorePower Live, you can take the classes you’re used to, like Sculpt and C2, and find new classes to love (C2: Wind Down, anyone?) and 30-minute short classes.
Set up your space. It’s important to create an environment to allow you to focus on your practice. Bringing in your favorite essential oil or dimming the light for a more restorative class are just a few ways you can create a yoga practice space at home.
Turn your camera on and log in early. To get the most out of your experience, try to log in about 10 minutes early, to ensure you have your camera and music set up properly. Your teacher will be there to guide you along the way and offer tips to set you up for success. We also encourage you to turn on your camera, so your teacher can see you and offer. They’ll be able to offer specific cues and feedback –just like an in-studio class.
Groove with Us. Once you log in, your teacher will share the playlist for class. You can find our playlists on Apple Music or Spotify. Or, if you choose, you can flow to your own music! You’ll be on mute, so you’re welcome to use a playlist that suits your practice. Remember to turn your device off shuffle and if you’re flowing with us on Spotify, set your Crossfade to six seconds to allow the music to fade seamlessly.
Find your flow. Pin your teacher’s video so they remain in view on speaker mode, or set to gallery mode to follow along with your fellow yogis. If you’re able, use two devices for your Live practice: one to turn on your camera and view your teacher (a computer, laptop or iPad) and the other (a mobile device) to play your music.
