We offer many different classes at CorePower Yoga. If you’re a new CPY student, it can seem daunting to decide which class is best for you. Here’s a quick breakdown of our most popular classes:

CorePower Yoga 1 (“C1”)

Description: C1 classes are designed to introduce yogis to the foundational postures that they’ll encounter in other CPY classes. This Power Vinyasa-style class focuses on connecting your breath to your movement. It is taught at a slower pace in an unheated room with an emphasis on instructor demonstrations and hands-on adjustments. After taking five to ten C1 classes, you’ll have the experience you need to try a more advanced class.

Who Should Attend: C1s are the first stop for yogis that are brand new to CorePower Yoga. If you’d like to learn the foundational poses or focus on improving your alignment, this is the class for you! Experienced yogis will also enjoy the challenge and intensity of flowing through class at a slower pace.

Insider Tip: Set up your mat in a spot with a clear view of a mirror. Being able to check on your alignment is really helpful when you’re first beginning a regular yoga practice.

CorePower Yoga 2 (“C2”)

Description: C2 classes build off of the postures that students learn in C1s. This class is taught in a heated room, which allows your body to stretch deeper and sweat out toxins. You’ll explore some advanced variations of the postures that you learned in C1s, along with a few new postures. This class will have you moving and sweating!

Who Should Attend: We recommend that new yogis have five to ten C1 classes under their belt before attending a C2 class. If you already have a regular Power Vinyasa yoga practice, you might be ready to jump right into C2 classes.

Insider Tip: C2 classes allow time to explore inversions. Let the instructor know if you’d like a little extra help learning an inversion, and they’ll be happy to give you some pointers.

Hot Power Fusion (“HPF”)

Description: Hot Power Fusion is just that – a fusion of our Power Vinyasa classes and our Hot Yoga class. You’ll encounter many of the strength and balancing postures of a Hot Yoga class. You’ll also focus on tying your breath to your movement. This class is equal parts calming and challenging!

Who Should Attend: It is accessible to students of all levels, though we recommend having a few C1 classes under your belt before trying HPF.

Insider Tip: Sit next to the door the first time you attend HPF as this is usually the coolest area of the room.

CorePower Strength X

Description: Get your heart pumping, build lean muscle, and power your potential. CorePower Strength X is our high-intensity strength training class and our most challenging workout.. In just 45 minutes of metabolism-boosting cardio, targeted weight circuits, and energizing breathwork, you'll get a complete workout with a dose of mindfulness.

Who Should Attend: If you’re looking to build muscle and increase strength, this class is for you. It is one of our more challenging classes, so you may want to try Yoga Sculpt first.

Insider Tip: Be prepared to find your edge. Grab a set of heavier weights and also have lighter weights on hand as you ease into this more challenging training.

Yoga Sculpt

Description: Yoga Sculpt is a total body workout. It’s set to energizing music and is designed to sculpt and tone every major muscle group. Free weights are added to the C2 sequence, creating resistance and intensifying each pose. Strength-training exercises such as squats, lunges, and bicep and tricep curls are incorporated to build lean muscle mass.

Who Should Attend: If you’re ready for a physical challenge, Yoga Sculpt is for you. You’ll work up a sweat and burn calories. It’s important to have a good understanding of the C2 class sequence, so we recommend that you have a few C2 classes under your belt before taking a Yoga Sculpt class.

Insider Tip: Grab two sets of weights before class starts – one light set and one heavier set. If a posture is too challenging, switch to a lighter weight. If you’re up for the added challenge, use the heavier set.
