Hey CPY fam! Lauren from Lake Shore Lady here! Summer is flying by, so I wanted to create a little something to remind all of us to take advantage of the warm weather and get OUTSIDE! This Homemade Trail Mix is super easy to put together and perfect for anyone with a busy lifestyle. Keep in an airtight container and fill up a bag before a hike, run, outdoor yoga class, or even just a day exploring your city!

This is a loose “recipe” because a trail mix should be a mix of what YOU like! That being said, here’s what I love to add to mine:

Trail Mix

  • Nuts. I know traditional mixes have a lot of peanuts, but I personally love almonds and cashews.

  • Seeds. Pumpkin seeds are always my #1 choice, but sunflower seeds would be great, too.

  • Something sweet. You could use raisins or dried cranberries here, but I splurged and went with goji berries. They aren’t too sweet and I love the chewy texture! *If you have a real sweet tooth, you could also add chocolate, too. Just look for a quality dark chocolate with ingredients you can feel good about.

  • Something crunchy. I decided to add crunch AND spice with wasabi peas! If you don’t want the spice, you could also go for a chex cereal or pretzels… but I may have used those for...

  • Something salty. I usually buy unsalted nuts, so I like to add something else with a little salt - and pretzels are perfect!

What do you like to add to your trail mixes?! Let me know over on Facebook or Instagram - and be sure to tag Corepower Yoga if you snap a photo of your next batch!
