Cleanse-Approved Nut Butter Bites

Often times we think of a cleanse as being restrictive. Nothing could be further from the truth. You can have your cake and eat it too! Literally – these cleanse friendly nut butter bites will satisfy your sweet tooth. Eat ‘em up and tell us what you think! 

Ingredients

For the Carob Topping:

  • Carob powder – ½ cup

  • Coconut oil (melted) – 1 cup

  • Sea salt

  • Vanilla Extract – 1/2 tsp.

For the Nut Butter Filling:

  • Sunflower seed butter, or nut butter of choice – 1 cup room temp

  • Coconut oil melted – ¼ cup

  • Coconut nectar – ¼ cup 

  • Coconut flour – 1 cup

  • Cinnamon 

  • Sea salt 

  • Vanilla Extract – 1/2 tsp. 

Instructions

  1. Combine all carob ingredients and whisk until completely smooth.

  2. Place half in a freezer-friendly dish (9 x 9) and freeze.

  3. Combine nut butter with coconut nectar.

  4. Drizzle in coconut oil, a pinch of cinnamon, sea salt, vanilla and combine.

  5. Fold in coconut flour until completely dissolved.

  6. Press on top of carob layer and set in freezer for about 5 minutes.

  7. Top with the remaining carob mixture and freeze until ready to eat!
