Ready, Set, Reset: Why August is the New January

Vacations are wrapping up. Temperatures are starting to (finally) drop. Sweatshirts are replacing tank tops. It’s back-to-school season, and whether you’re going back to school, back to work, or you know someone who is, it’s time for a fall reset.
There’s no better way to kick off a reset than with some self-care. Logging a solid 7–9 hours of sleep, eating healthier, and reigniting your yoga practice are all good starters. If you focus on one, the others follow naturally — it’s a domino effect. Because if you sleep better, you’ll have more energy for your workouts. With a full range of in-person, Live, and On Demand classes designed to strengthen every body and mind at every level, CorePower Yoga has made it easier to fit the best yoga classes for you into your busy schedule. Depending on your preferences, and goals, there’s a class at the right intensity to match.
Our classes are organized into three categories: functional strength training, flow and cardio conditioning, and mobility and active recovery – giving you the flexibility to start wherever you’d like and focus on what matters most to you.
Functional Strength Training
If your goals include muscle growth, increased strength, enhanced metabolism, better bone health, and improved mental clarity, functional strength training classes are ideal. Consider Yoga Sculpt (YS), a high-intensity class in medium-to-high heat that blends strength training with light weights, yoga, cardio, and core work.
CorePower Strength X (CSX) is another great option for building functional strength. It’s a high-intensity interval training (HIIT) workout that emphasizes power through strength building and energizing breathwork, using heavier weights. Even though the heat intensity is low, the physical intensity is high.
Flow & Cardio Conditioning
For increased core strength, muscle endurance, and energy levels, flow and low-impact cardio conditioning classes will help you meet your goals. Stress reduction and better mental focus are added benefits.
Try CorePower 1 (C1) to master the foundational principles and postures of Vinyasa yoga in low heat with low-to-moderate physical intensity. CorePower 2 (C2) offers more challenging Vinyasa poses that help build strength, with high heat intensity and moderate-to-high physical intensity. This power yoga class turns up the energy with serious sweat.
Mobility & Active Recovery
Reducing muscle soreness, improving posture, and enhancing flexibility are the hallmarks of classes in the mobility and active recovery category. You may also enjoy an immunity boost and better sleep quality after regularly focusing on mobility and active recovery. CoreRestore (CR) offers a reboot with low physical and heat intensities by focusing on stretching and breathing. Hot Power Fusion (HPF) is on the other extreme for those who want heated rooms and more intensity. You’ll flex, bend, and sweat with a sequence of traditional hot yoga and Vinyasa moves.
Getting Back on Track
As you ease out of the summer mindset and into the fall season, it’s the perfect time to reclaim your routine and get back on track. CorePower Yoga offers a range of intensities with classes that are designed to be mixed and matched for a complete workout, anytime, anywhere. Whether you’re a first timer or a studio regular, there’s a class for you.
You don’t have to be a “yoga person” to take advantage of this system, but if you happen to become one along the way, you can thank us later 😉.
