Power Yogi Kit
Whether you're brand new to yoga or a seasoned practitioner, there's a few items we recommend to keep you comfortable and fresh. Check out our Power Yogi essentials:
Comfortable Mat. A solid and functional mat is essential to any yogi, beginner or advanced. Something with good traction, comfort and stability to protect your joints and provide a solid level of support for balancing postures. A few of our favorites include Manduka (pictured), Lululemon, and Jade Yoga Mats (sold in select studios). Is your mat right for you?
Mat Spray. Once you’ve invested in a good mat, you’ll want to take care of it. Keep it looking and smelling fresh with Manduka’s Refresh Spray (pictured). It’s an alcohol-free solution made with essential oils that will clean your mat between each sweaty class.
Skidless Towel. A necessity for any heated yoga class! Yoga towels are uniquely designed to soak up sweat, improving grip and traction better than any basic bath towel (and it’s just as easy to keep clean). Some yogi’s find it best to wet their towel with water before class to obtain the maximum amount of grip during class. We recommend Manduka Yogitoes (pictured).
Water Bottle. Shape and size are personal preference, but it’s most important to pay attention to the material of your water bottle. Avoid BPA’s by choosing a water bottle made from glass or stainless steel, both provide better insulation and a cleaner taste. We love water bottles by S'well (pictured) and Hydroflask.
Mala. A mala is a strand of 108 beads, and is used during meditation. The malas we carry at CorePower Yoga studios are made from a variety of stones that have different energetic characteristics.
