  • How does your practice make you stronger? Yoga keeps me centered, so that I can handle life's challenges and opportunities with grace.

  • What is your advice to beginner yogis? Yoga is not a competition of strength or flexibility; it is the willingness to surrender.

  • How do you remain grounded outside of the yoga studio? I try to take a few minutes every day to consciously focus on the present moment—to tune out all the outside distractions and tune in to how I’m feeling.  

  • What is a mantra or intention that you frequently come back to in class? You are stronger than you think.

  • What is your advice to beginner yogis? Find a teacher/studio/class that makes you feel safe and welcome.

  • What is a mantra or intention that you frequently come back to in class? You don’t need to be anyone other than the person you are in order to have a beautiful yoga practice.
