"As a former competitive dancer in my younger years, I missed the wellness and stress management that consistent movement brought into my life after I transitioned into working in the corporate world as an adult. Beginning my yoga practice offered an incredible way to nurture the mind-body connection and to find balance in my fast-paced lifestyle. I am ecstatic to be mentored by the experienced instructors within CorePower and to build a community of like-minded individuals who share a passion for yoga.”

"I’ve been hoping to take part in the teacher training program for a while now and now that I am on a personal journey with my health and fitness, this was the perfect time. I'm not the average body type you would see in a yoga studio. I weigh 263 lbs and to be honest sometimes it’s a mental battle to get back on my journey or be in the studio with all the ripped physiques on the floor. It's both inspiring and intimidating.

What brings me back to the studio is the feeling of calm and accomplishment I get from nurturing my body and being more attuned with it. I feel like I go to the studio in search of mental clarity, alignment, and recovery when I have tough workouts that I KNOW I need to stretch for. I also love the music and fight til the end to make it to the best part, SAVASANA! I’m Colombian-Vietnamese which always surprises people because it’s such a random mix you don’t hear everyday. My impact has quite the range and it’s amazing to be able to connect with both cultures.

I stand for the amazing women with fuller bodies that are continuously on their journey, who put themselves in uncomfortable positions and experiences because ultimately they want to love themselves and be healthier. I bring inclusivity into the room and I hope that just showing up and doing my best and not being perfect or the strongest will still inspire a beginner to just BE present and be able to join the room despite their reservations and fears. I love to share self-love, self-care, strength, authenticity, passion, and inclusivity with others. I signed up to represent a demographic that is lacking in the yoga community and am here to represent the thicc girls. I believe that it’s important to see womxn of all shapes and sizes teaching and in leadership roles. This is what drove me to sign up for teacher training and I am really excited to be here.”

What are you looking forward to about Teacher Training?

Elena S.

"Learning proper techniques and building bonds with people.”

Kayla J.

"I am looking to take my practice to the next level. Teacher training programs like Core Power TT can provide a deep dive into the philosophy and methodology behind yoga, giving you a more thorough understanding of the practice and how it can benefit yourself and others.

I am drawn to the community aspect of a teacher training program. Being surrounded by like-minded individuals who share your love of yoga will be motivating, and can help me to deepen my practice in ways you might not have imagined. Pursuing this opportunity to further your knowledge and expertise in yoga. I have no doubt that I will find the experience to be rewarding and transformative, both for myself and for those I will one day teach.”

Rimisha L.
Seattle, WA

"I am looking forward to learning how I can incorporate my CorePower Yoga teacher training skills with my current job as a psych/mental health nurse working with a diverse set of children. I would really like for the younger generation to be able to learn more meditation or mindfulness techniques in order to cope with any stressors in life.”

Ipeleng M.
Los Angeles, CA

"I look forward to learning more about the biological aspects of yoga while enhancing my understanding of the spiritual aspects of my practice. I also look forward to regaining the consistency of my practice while sharing heart space with an unknown community in a new place, space, and dimension. This is a dream come true.”

Saïdia R.
Los Angeles, CA

"I've been health conscious and athletic my entire life and I appreciate the way CorePower has integrated fitness into the wellness practice of yoga. Vinyasa is one of my favorite formats and this training will provide me with the knowledge and skills I need to offer the best experience to my students every time they come to my class. Teaching is my gift and passion and I'm grateful for this opportunity to receive professional development training from such a reputable and well-established yoga company. I look forward to training with qualified and experienced yoga instructors and building quality relationships I hope will last a lifetime.”

Kayla C.
Louisville, CO

"I most look forward to developing teaching skills. I'm excited that the program will equip me with the necessary skills, knowledge, and techniques to effectively teach yoga classes. I look forward to learning about anatomy, alignment, sequencing, and modifications to guide students safely through their practice.”

Isha J.
Chicago, IL

"I look forward to deepening my practice through the study of yoga history, anatomy, philosophy, and alignment. Teacher training provides an opportunity to build the skills, knowledge, and confidence that I can utilize to promote physical and mental well-being within my community. CorePower’s programs emphasize creating accessible and inclusive spaces for all individuals to explore yoga without limitations, and I am excited to represent this mission and learn how to guide others on their yoga journey.”

Sterling L.
Denver, CO

"I’m looking forward to building friendships, creating a safe environment for those that feel marginalized to freely practice yoga, and to reconnect with myself along the way.”

Jessica H.
Torrance, CA

"I’ve been an athlete my whole life and love helping others on their fitness journey. I’m constantly sharing the benefits and practices of self-care with the people in my life and community. I think I would bring an element of relatability and encouragement to a lot of people and I am most excited to connect with others. Aside from that I am totally a nerd when it comes to the Mind, Body, and Spirit and love exploring new elements within those subjects. I feel like teaching training would be a beautiful outlet and an immersive environment to connect to myself, nurture my mind, get a sharpened understanding of the physicality of my body, and reflect within my spirit.”
