If you're still wondering what you should give that special someone this Valentine's Day, look no further! These heart-shaped red velvet cake pops are amazing and will let your friends and family know how you really feel about them.

What You’ll Need:

  • 1 Red Velvet Cake Mix

  • 1/2 Cup Cream Cheese Frosting

  • 24 oz+ White Chocolate (air on the side of extra to make dipping easier)

  • Lollipop Sticks (you can find them at Walmart, Party City, etc.)

  • Sprinkles

  • Heart Shaped Cookie Cutter

How You’ll Do It:

  1. Mix & bake the cake mix as directed using a 9” x 13” pan. Allow the cake to cool entirely after baking.

  2. Break apart the cake and crumble it in a large mixing bowl. Make sure it’s broken up into small crumbs with no large piece of cake left over.

  3. Add 1/2 cup cream cheese frosting. Mix in well with your (clean) hands.

  4. Flatten the cake mix into an even sheet about 1” thick (I used the 9” x 13” pan that I baked the cake in — simply wash it after you’ve removed the cake so you have a clean surface to work with). Using your cookie cutter, punch out heart shapes from the cake mix and carefully remove and set aside.

  5. Melt a little bit of white chocolate. Dip the lollipop sticks in the chocolate, and then insert the lollipop stick into the point of the heart. The white chocolate will help keep the pop on the stick when you dip it.

  6. Once you’ve finished putting all of the heart pops on sticks, allow them to chill in the freezer for 30 minutes.

  7. Slowly melt the white chocolate in a deep bowl or cup stirring frequently until it’s fully melted. Be careful not to overheat the chocolate (this can cause it to thicken or burn). If your chocolate gets too thick, add a little bit of vegetable oil to help thin it out. Dip the pop into the melted chocolate until the heart is completely covered. Try to cover the entire pop with one dip, as twisting it can cause it to fall off the stick.

  8. Place your pop upright in a block of styrofoam or cake pop stand. Add your sprinkles before the chocolate begins to set. Repeat with the rest of your pops.

  9. Place the dipped pops in the fridge for 20 minutes to allow them to fully set.

  10. Enjoy!
