It happens to all of us. We have something we need to get done, but we just don’t have the inspiration we need to get started. Try these poses to clear your mind and spark your creativity.

Easy Pose (Sukhasana)

Easy Pose (Sukhasana)

  • Cross your legs, and allow your knees to open

  • Press firmly through your sits bones 

  • Stack your shoulders over your hips, and lengthen your spine

  • Bring your hands to heart center

  • Draw your shoulder blades down your back

  • Gaze forward or close your eyes

Shoulder Stand Pose (Sarvangasana)

Shoulder Stand Pose (Sarvangasana)

  • Lift your legs up, extending your feet toward the ceiling

  • Draw your legs together

  • Keep your palms on your lower back, drawing your tailbone up

  • Broaden your collarbones and draw your chin off your chest

  • Shift the weight into your shoulders and gaze up

Handstand Pose (Adho Mukha Vrksasana)

Handstand Pose (Adho Mukha Vrksasana)

  • *Practice this pose using a wall for support.

  • Begin in One-legged Downward Facing Dog Pose (Eka Pada Adho Mukha Svanasana) 

  • Bend the knee of your grounded foot and energetically kick up

  • Stack your feet, hips and shoulders

  • Engage your core and keep your legs drawn together

  • Draw your gaze slightly in front of you 

Scorpion Pose (Vrschikasana)

Scorpion Pose (Vrschikasana)

  • *Practice this pose using a wall for support. 

  • Start in Dolphin Pose (Ardha Pincha Mayurasana)

  • Walk your feet towards your hands, then lift one leg and kick into Forearm Stand Pose (Pincha Mayurasana). 

  • Bend your knees and lower your feet towards your head 

  • Draw your knees toward one another 

  • Draw your gaze slightly in front of you
