5 Reasons Men Should Practice Yoga

From October 23-31, it's all about the men at CorePower Yoga. If you're a man who's new to yoga, a man who already practices yoga or you just know a man who should be doing yoga - let's make it our mission to get more men on the mat. Here's 5 great reasons why men should hit the mat:

  1. Build Core Strength: Developing and maintaining core strength helps with postural alignment and greater quality of movement. 

  2. Cross Training: Yoga is a great addition to any other exercise that men are already doing. It helps with muscular balance and injury prevention, which is extra important as we age.

  3. Better Sleep: Yoga helps ease stress and fatigue so we can get a better night’s sleep – we all need our rest!

  4. Great Workout: Some men might be under the impression that yoga is “just stretching.” We'll show these guys what a great workout it is. We'll bet they'll be surprised by how much they sweat!

  5. Breath: Yoga teaches us how to tap into our breath both on and off the mat, which comes in handy with all the daily stressors that life throws our way.
