“As an aspiring psychologist, I hope to leverage my knowledge of mental health and yoga to promote somatic and emotional healing. In the future, I'd love to attain further certifications in somatic experiencing and trauma-informed yoga to help survivors of violence, especially those in the AAPI and other underserved communities.”

“I would like to continue the transformative impact that yoga has had on my life, which it has since the beginning of the pandemic. I also hope to help minority groups underrepresented in the yoga community realize the power that yoga has to improve their mental health, create a healthy lifestyle, and establish confidence to power transformation.”

“This training is not just about becoming a teacher; it's about creating space for healing and transformation. As a survivor of intimate partner violence, I understand firsthand the impact of trauma on the mind, body, and spirit - and the power of yoga as a somatic practice to foster resilience. With my certification, I'm committed to creating an inclusive space where survivors can safely reconnect with their bodies, re-establish self-trust, and reclaim their sense of agency.”

“My yoga journey actually started from a really tough place. I was dealing with some heavy stuff that left me feeling disconnected from my body. Then I found yoga. CorePower's classes were like coming home. Whether it was the powerful Yoga Sculpt flow or an athletic Hot Power Fusion, each practice helped me reclaim my strength and mobility. More importantly, yoga became this sanctuary where I could release all the emotional baggage I'd been carrying. Through being present on my mat, I was able to unlearn so many limiting beliefs about myself and tap into this deep, ancestral wisdom about my body's brilliance.”

“I signed up for CorePower’s Yoga Teacher Training because yoga has been a transformative force in my life. It's more than just a physical practice; it's a journey of self-discovery, growth, and healing. Through yoga, I've found a sense of inner peace, strength, and connection that I want to share with others. Teaching yoga allows me to guide and support others on their own journeys toward wellness, mindfulness, and self-love. It's a way for me to give back to a practice that has given me so much and to create a positive impact in the lives of those around me. I'm excited to deepen my understanding of yoga and to inspire and empower others to find balance, joy, and authenticity on and off the mat.”

“I'm joining the CorePower Teacher Training program because I've found great value in CorePower’s yoga approach. The blend of traditional principles and athleticism deeply resonates with me, and I aim to deepen my understanding by immersing myself in their teacher training. Ultimately, I aspire to become a confident instructor capable of guiding others through their yoga journeys and giving back to the supportive CorePower community that has uplifted me.”

“I signed up for the CorePower Teacher Training program because I want to develop a solid foundation rooted in authenticity. Yoga is an immersive experience and I hope to inspire others by bringing my practice with me as I navigate different spaces in my community. How I show up in the world matters and if I can show up as my most authentic self (with yoga in my pocket), I can inspire others to do the same.”

“Yoga, particularly at CorePower, became my sanctuary during the most challenging chapter of my life. As a young breast cancer survivor, I faced the daunting trials of chemotherapy, radiation, and a mastectomy. In the midst of these intense treatments, yoga became not just a physical practice, but a lifeline for my body, mind, and spirit. CorePower Yoga, with its dynamic classes and supportive community, provided me with a space where I could heal and grow stronger, both physically and emotionally… Now, as a recipient of the Power Love scholarship for the CorePower Teacher Training program, I see an opportunity to give back and pay forward the incredible gift of healing that yoga has bestowed upon me. I believe that by becoming a certified teacher, I can extend this gift to others who may be facing their own battles and seeking solace and strength through yoga.”

Is there anything else you’d like to share?

Aliza J., Fullerton, CA

“Yoga is such an incredible privilege and I feel blessed to be given the opportunity not only to grow in my own practice but also to learn how to bestow this blessing onto others.”

Ashley N., Bay Area, CA

“Drawing on my own experiences with trauma and disconnection, I'm looking forward to holding space for students with so much compassion and cultural humility. My role is to nurture the healer within each person by meeting them where they're at emotionally and physically. I want to dismantle those narratives of inadequacy so many of us have internalized and instead, empower everyone to embrace their whole, radiant selves - embracing their backgrounds, body types, flexibility levels and beyond. I want to guide people in rediscovering their innate strength, self-acceptance and inner peace.”

Ailish R., San Clemente, CA

“Yoga has helped me increase my confidence, mental strength, and strengthened my mind body connection. I hope to share this with others!”

Adrianna A., Charlotte, NC

“I am currently a Yoga Sculpt instructor with CorePower Yoga. The practice of being an instructor has truly changed my life! I look forward to increasing my knowledge through the 200-Hour program and encourage anyone who has ever had the slightest thought of being an instructor to do it!”

Jessica K., Oakland, CA

“I believe in the power of yoga not just as a physical practice, but as a tool for personal transformation and community empowerment. As I delve deeper into the teachings and practices, I look forward to connecting with fellow practitioners and instructors, sharing insights, and collectively working towards creating more inclusive and supportive spaces both on and off the mat. This opportunity aligns with my values of promoting wellness, diversity, and resilience, and I'm excited to see where this path leads me.”

Aisha K., Bethesda, MD

“I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to participate in the CorePower Teacher Training program, especially as a recipient of the Power Love scholarship. This scholarship not only acknowledges the value of diversity and inclusion within the yoga community but also opens doors for individuals like me to pursue their passion for teaching yoga. As I embark on this journey, I am committed to using my voice and platform to advocate for greater representation and inclusivity within the yoga community. I believe that yoga should be accessible to people of all backgrounds, abilities, and identities, and I am dedicated to creating spaces where everyone feels welcomed, seen, and valued.”
