Full-time Retail Specialist - San Diego, CA

CorePower Yoga is looking for a Full Time Retail Specialist to join our dynamic multi-entity organization. The Retail Specialist will provide customer care within the Retail Space and to promote cross selling opportunities with CorePower Yoga’s range of programming and services.  This position will be based in the San Diego area and primarily responsible driving the retail sales of our San Diego area studios.

Responsibilities

  • Attain personal and territory sales goals
  • Assume a leadership role on the retail floor and in the yoga studio and exemplify excellent customer care within a broad range of CorePower Yoga’s products and services. 
  • Analyze retail sales reports to determine which products will best drive sales at each studio
  • Collaborate with Studio Managers to promote products and complete  requests made by customers
  • Collaborate with Retail Manager to properly process and allocate shipment
  • Execute weekly cycle counts as well as bi-annual physical inventory counts
  • Open schedule availability which allows ability to staff studio during busiest sales times
  • Exercise merchandising best practices in order to best display merchandise, making product visually compelling to the customer and resulting in a sales floor that is easy to shop and navigate

Database Architect - Denver, CO

The Database Architect will be responsible for design, architecture and implementation of CorePower Yoga’s Management Information System databases and their components. This position will spearhead the design, architecture, implementation and maintenance of company data warehouses. The Architect will create custom SQL stored procedures, queries and reports at the direction of Management and in accordance with Executive requirements.

Essential Job Duties
  • Develop and support database processes and policies for loading, cleansing, auditing and reconciling data from various source systems
  • Perform Database Administrator duties including documentation, data integrity verification and backup & restore procedures and testing
  • Develop custom stored procedures, SQL and reports for use in CorePower Yoga’s automated reporting
  • Partner and consult with IS Development team to design and implement database solutions in support of business goals
  • Monitor database utilization ensuring maximum performance and uptime
  • Maintain database security and oversee user and role management
  • Install, upgrade and configure SQL Server in both development and production environments

Education, Skills, Qualifications
Required:
  • B.S. Computer Science, Information Systems, related field or related experience

  • 5+ years of database management experience

Facilities Director - Denver, CO

The Facilities Director (FD), reporting to the Chief Development Officer (CDO), is the primary support person for facility maintenance and repair issues system-wide. The FD ensures that all corporate owned studios are a proud physical representation of the CorePower Yoga brand and philosophy. The FD establishes expected standards and budgets for appearance, function and readiness of studio facilities and then supports and empowers Studio Managers in achieving those standards (both performance and financial) through the implementation of related processes, procedures and tools.
 
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Create, establish and maintain standards, “look-books”, manuals and procedures for repairs and maintenance – accommodating 24/7 support for Studio Managers with emphasis on health/safety and brand appropriateness
  • Create and implement a process for assessing the condition of studio facilities chain-wide on an ongoing and real-time basis
  • Conduct periodic studio site visits to assess the condition/needs of studios within specific markets
  • Formulate and implement preventative maintenance schedules for the safe, efficient, and effective operation of facilities, including but not limited to equipment, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
  • Act as primary administrator for all M&R issues submitted through the help ticket system. Ensure timely response and follow-up of all outstanding tickets
  • Design and conduct system-wide trainings aimed at refreshing knowledge of studio standards among existing studio personnel and onboarding of new employees
  • Empower Studio Managers through training on how to manage, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facilities. Ensure managers and other studio staff are correctly and consistently following facility maintenance practices and procedures
  • Identify specific issues which contribute to higher M&R costs or capital reinvestment costs and implement procedures to reduce these costs
  • Perform some on-site equipment and facility repairs on an as needed basis
  • Manage the day-to-day maintenance issues that arise relative to Lease or CAM issues
  • Initiate new studio service contracts and utility setup with outside vendors, contractors and landlords
  • Assist with new studio turnover, 90 day and one year walks/punches with Contractor, Construction Team and Operations Team for all new studios
  • Serve as liaison between studios, landlords, contractors, and R & M vendors. Act as primary company point contact for national contract relationship(s)
  • Work with the CDO to develop annual chain wide RRR (Remodel, Refresh, Renew) priorities in capital planning
  • Initiate, evaluate and monitor all energy expenses including studio specific energy costs and investigate out of average situations for remedy
  • Maintain Certificates of Insurance and other forms of liability protection for all contract vendors
The ideal candidate will: 
  • Possess foundational knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical, commercial equipment, appliance repair and basic HVAC/refrigeration
  • Be knowledgeable of rules and regulations governing facilities safety requirements including but not limited to fire, health and safety, handicap access, utilities, etc.
  • Demonstrate highly effective communication skills in working with studio management, exercising patience, clarity and a service-oriented approach
  • Have a B.A. /B.S. in related field or an equivalent in education and experience
  • Minimum 5 years facilities maintenance experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word
  • Working knowledge of facilities related IT systems
  • Position requires a demonstrated ability to negotiate contracts, interface with studio personnel, management and outside vendors

Part-time Call Center Specialist - Denver, CO

CorePower Yoga is looking for a Part-time Call Center Specialist. The Call Center Specialist is responsible for creating and maintaining the highest level of customer service by responding effectively to phone inquiries. Knowledge of CPY yoga classes, programs and business structure are highly desired. The Call Center Specialist is paramount in supporting the Studio Managers and leadership teams in improving the experience for our customers. This position demands an outgoing personality, great phone etiquette, a high level of organization, the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, the natural ability to read people and desire to solve problems.

This position will be based in the Denver corporate office.

 Responsibilities:

  • Answer all telephone calls promptly and efficiently
  • Respond to all voicemails within one hour during call center hours, and within the first hour of the day for voicemails left after call center closure
  • Assist customers with CPY schedule and program questions
  • Assist members in basic account questions
  • Utilize Mind-Body- Online software to navigate through student accounts and service offerings
  • Understand the organizational structure of CPY and disseminate or escalate information through appropriate channels. Resolve and/or forward customer complaints to the appropriate person

Studio Manager - Dallas, TX

The Studio Manager is responsible for delivering a superior yoga experience to CorePower Yoga clients. The Studio Manager is the primary driver in bringing in new clients and retaining practicing clients. Ownership of the customer experience includes control and management of the physical environment, the quality of delivery of classroom instruction, communication with clients and instructor development.

Essential Job Duties
 
Client Relationship Development
  • Exemplify excellent customer care and assume leadership role in providing superior customer service
  • Manage activities that ensure the physical studio space meets the high CorePower Yoga standards of excellence. Maintain the highest level of cleanliness, environment and functionality of all studio space. Ensure studio environment complies with the high standards of CorePower Yoga: this includes providing optimum heat and humidity, inspiring music, and clean and clutter-free surroundings in all areas of the studio
  • Maintain an appropriate level of studio supplies so that all provisions and amenities are available for all clients at all times
  • Maintain a high level of customer communication through personal interaction with clients; and by providing appropriate feedback opportunities for clients. Develop and deliver effective feedback mechanisms. Follow up with new students to support them in practice development

Revenue Growth and Profitability
  • Responsible for continued revenue growth and profitability of the Studio. Plan and execute class content and schedules that appeal to the local market and result in optimum attendance and yoga revenue

  • Collaborate with National Retail Team Manager to exceed the planned retail sales. Complete merchandising activities and train teachers and sales staff to inspire optimum client purchases

Yoga Practice Development and Instruction

  • Teach an appropriate amount of classes per week to enable the continued connection with their CorePower Yoga community
Personnel Development
  • Hire, train and develop studio staff including instructors, front desk staff, retail personnel and Assistant Manager
  • Supervise, review and coach employees to develop a high level of job effectiveness, efficiency and satisfaction. Deliver constructive feedback, growth plans, and disciplinary action in a timely manner

Lifestyle Program Support

Area Retail Manager - Seattle, WA

The Area Retail Manager is responsible for driving revenue and profitability of CorePower Yoga’s retail line of business in a specified group of studios. It is the Area Retail Manager's responsibility to identify and react to opportunities and challenges that directly affect the business, understanding the specific demographics of each studio location. The Area Manager will work closely with the Regional Retail Manager to develop an area within the region. 

Essential Job Duties
 
Revenue Growth and Profitability of Retail Line-of-Business
  • Work closely with studio management and Regional Retail Manager to promote retail sales within the studio.  Educate, train, and motivate studio personnel and instructors to maintain enthusiasm for product and increase sales
  • Plan and coordinate special promotions, events, and incentives to enhance sales
  • Communicate policies on pricing, discounting, and initiatives to local studios on an ongoing basis
  • Maintain an attractive, compelling look and feel to the physical store space for each location.   Ensure a consistent and constant compelling retail environment to invite customer dwell time

Inventory Management

  • Collaborate with Regional Retail Manager to maintain an appropriate level of inventory at all times.  Analyze sales and inventory levels and communicate successes, problems, and opportunities to Regional Retail Manager
  • Plan and execute physical inventory counts including weekly cycle counts, monthly hub counts, and quarterly studio inventory. Makes necessary adjustments in POS system
  • Ensures inventory is properly tagged and entered into POS system (MBO)
  • Responsible for multi studio merchandise allocation and product movement, using an analysis of retail sales reports to redistribute merchandise based upon informed observations of what is selling versus what is not selling in each studio
  • Effectively tracks and communicates markdown cadence to direct report monthly
  • Controls shrink by implementing procedures regarding transfers, invoice reconciliation and monitoring instructor and manager employee purchases and discounts. Works in collaboration with Retail Specialist team to ensure accountability for shrink in the studios and Hub locations
Purchasing and Merchandising
  • Maintain an awareness of market trends in the industry, understanding client needs and wants by demographic
  • Collaborates with Regional Retail Manager to augment inventory with regionally sourced items
  • Oversee the merchandising of retail product at studio locations, providing guidance and expertise in placement, flow, color, and organization to maximize sales

  • Complete required reporting in maintaining complete and proper financial records. Such reporting includes, but is not limited to, sales reporting and forecasting

Education, Skills, Qualifications
 
The Area Retail Manager position requires demonstrated success in managing a retail operation. We also require demonstrated customer service skills, leadership ability, an aptitude for organization, and a foundational knowledge of basic profitability concepts such as gross margin, markup percentages, and being accountable to identified sales goals. A college degree and business management experience is required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Excel and Word are required.

Part-time Retail Specialist - Seattle, WA

CorePower Yoga is looking for a Part-time Retail Specialist to join our dynamic multi-entity organization. The Retail Specialist will provide customer care within the Retail Space and to promote cross selling opportunities with CorePower Yoga’s range of programming and services. This position will be based in the Seattle area and primarily responsible driving the retail sales of our Seattle area studios.

Responsibilities
  • Attain personal and territory sales goals
  • Assume a leadership role on the retail floor and in the yoga studio and exemplify excellent customer care within a broad range of CorePower Yoga’s products and services
  • Analyze retail sales reports to determine which products will best drive sales at each studio
  • Collaborate with Studio Managers to promote products and complete  requests made by customers
  • Collaborate with Retail Manager to properly process and allocate shipment
  • Execute weekly cycle counts as well as bi-annual physical inventory counts
  • Open schedule availability which allows ability to staff studio during busiest sales times
  • Exercise merchandising best practices in order to best display merchandise, making product visually compelling to the customer and resulting in a sales floor that is easy to shop and navigate
  • Ability to manage time wisely and complete job responsibilities and special projects efficiently 
  • Remains mindful of activities and operations of the business and seeks ways to maximize revenue while minimizing risk to company assets 
  • Understand how to operate POS system

The Retail Specialist position requires a passion for the yogi lifestyle, an outgoing personality that takes initiative, integrity and follow-through. At least two years of retail experience is required. We also require a team player who has the ability for time management, demonstrated written and verbal communication and customer service skill.
