Most of us are multi-taskers with jam-packed days balancing jobs, family, work, and of course, yoga. Sometimes the most stressful part of our day is figuring out how to find a sense of calm in the middle of the storm. Yoga is a great way to release the pressure valve, but at times, busy schedules don’t allow room for that hour or two in the CorePower Yoga studio. So, how do we maintain our yogic bliss even when we’re surrounded by life’s little (and big) challenges?
It might be surprising to hear, but the answer is at home, and it’s called meditation. Like headstand, meditation is the yogi’s cure-all. Just as headstand can help to heal all the dis-ease of our body, meditation can heal all the dis-ease of our mind. And all it takes is a few quiet minutes per day with your own healing energy directed inward. Here’s how, why and when to meditate:
Why Should I Meditate?
Meditation gives our brain the rest it needs to properly organize thoughts and priorities so you can go about your life in a much more efficient way. It also helps us to maintain that “yogic buzz,” or that blissful cool that we feel after yoga. Plus, it’s easy and requires no props or special clothing and can be done anywhere, anytime.
